AirWatch

The AirWatch plugin lets you manage mobile devices and enrollment users in your AirWatch (VMware Workspace ONE) environment. You can add and deactivate enrollment users, assign them to user groups, and remove them from groups. The plugin connects to your AirWatch instance through its REST API using a base URL, admin credentials, and an API key. Use this plugin when your workflows need to automate device enrollment, user provisioning, or access management for mobile devices in your organization.

Compatibility The plugin is tested with AirWatch 19.2.0.0 (on Cloud).

Prerequisites​

AirWatch instance with access details.

Create REST API Keys in AirWatch

  • For details, see VMware AirWatch REST API Guide.
  • Steps to Create REST API Keys in AirWatch: With account type Admin, you can access all the managed content APIs.
    To create REST API Keys, navigate to:
    Groups & Settings > All Settings > System > Advanced > API > REST API, and select Add to generate an API key for the service.

Enroll device

You can enroll Android, Apple, QNX, Chrome OS, and Windows OS devices in AirWatch. The process of enrolling devices for MDM is discussed in Appendix: Enroll devices for MDM in AirWatch.

Future enhancement

If required, Advance Input tab can be introduced to accommodate additional input parameters.

Known issues

You can create a child Organization Group but cannot create a user under it.
