Stop Service

Description

Windows: Stop Service plugin step stops a service on a local or remote Windows machine.

4Accept Value as variable/staticLeave the checkbox unchecked to accept the Password value from a field in the previous steps using a drop-down list.
Enable the checkbox to enter the Password value as text.

This field is mandatory.
5PasswordSpecify the password of the Windows account. The password is encrypted and is not stored in the .psw workflow file.

Password is entered using a widget that supports both text (static value or environment variable) and combo (drop-down with values from previous steps).
If the checkbox above is enabled, the Password field appears as a text box.
If the checkbox is disabled, the Password field appears as a drop-down.

This field is mandatory.
6Service NameSpecify the name of the service to be stopped.
Data type: String
This field is mandatory.
7Force StopSpecify whether to force stop the service. Allowed values are 'YES' and 'NO'.
Data type: String
This field is mandatory. Note: In case of an exception, a Windows return value does not occur if the Force Stop option is set to YES.
