Download and install ActiveMQ

You need to download and install ActiveMQ for HA setup.

To download and install ActiveMQ:

1. Download the latest distribution file of Apache ActiveMQ version 6.1.x from Apache Activemq site. The downloaded filename, apache-activemq-6.1.x-bin.zip.

2. Copy the downloaded zip file on both machines provided for ActiveMQ HA setup.

3. On both machines, unzip the downloaded file to a directory, preferably C:/tools/apache-activemq-6.1.x. All setups of ActiveMQ after this point are given assuming that same path has been selected. If you save the file to a different location, modify the instructions accordingly.

4. Execute the following command: InstallService.bat

The top-level directory of Apache ActiveMQ installation is also known as ActiveMQ home and contains the installed ActiveMQ software. The complete file path of ActiveMQ Home is referred to as (ActiveMQ home).
